Robert Shuster's fiction has appeared in North American Review, Witness, The Mississippi Review, Stone Canoe, The Winter Anthology, and The Alaska Quarterly Review, among other publications, and in the anthologies Micro Fiction (W.W. Norton) and Yellow Silk II (Warner Books). His novel To Zenzi received a James Jones First Novel Fellowship. 

He was an art critic for The Village Voice and Seattle Weekly, and he's also written arts and culture pieces for The Los Angeles Times, The Threepenny Review, and The Portland Oregonian


He lives in Westchester County, NY.
